I could say Snoop Dogg is the most famous rapper ever to grace the mic. The internet is so undefeated that it might name another rapper and prove me wrong. On the other hand, when I proclaimed myself the biggest Snoop Dogg fan, the internet might jump out of its cyber window to argue how there are other, more dedicated fans. Some can spit every Snoop Dogg album word for word without skipping a beat. Still, I would dare to say if Snoop’s Missionary is a sequel to his Doggystyle, then it came far too late. Of course, it’s a Snoop Dogg album. You can taste the smooth flow of his iconic voice as it takes you on a journey through the streets of Long Beach and into the studio, where he creates magic.
Using sex positions as the title for an album series is pure genius! But… off the rip, I’m disappointed that there’s no love song here. Nevertheless, that Methodman verse is flaming! Hey, Snoop D. O. double G! Holla at your boy! I’ve got a love song for the deluxe version of this album. Put it this way: remember that line on Lodi Dodi where you said: “….and with that wrinkle pu$$y; I can’t be your lover…?” In 1993 we were fronting on them wrinkled lips, but in 2024, that Gin and Juice dick’ll make that wrinkled pu$$y melt like cold butter from a hot knife. Okay, all jokes aside, the lyrics hit with such intensity that you can’t help but nod your head and tap your feet to the beat. It’s not just an album. It’s a sonic wonder!

At the same time, 50 Cent reminds us that the powerhouse record labels of Death Row Records, Aftermath, and Interscope should never be underestimated.
I wonder what it’s like for Jimmy Iovine to witness these exceptional artists evolving in real time. Of course, fans have been highly anticipating a collaboration album between Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. But let me wear my comedic hat once more and leave you with another laugh. This album is long overdue, I say with a sly grin. If it dropped in 2003, we could have had “Cowgirl” in 2013 and “Stand and Carry” in 2023. By 2024, Snoop and Dre will announce the fourth installment – “Ballet Dancer.” All jokes aside, as much as we may resist, we can’t help but be drawn in by the charisma of the music. And with all the right conditions in place, it would be impossible for Missionary not to go at least triple platinum.
