Ghost Recon Wildlands is the new wave of video game players right now. The untold truth is most gamers are thirsty for a new shooter game. We were sold immediately when it was announced that Ghost Recon Wildlands is an “open world” game. The developers did not tell us that the game had too many glitches. It is on the level of a PS2 shooter game with PS3 algorithms (glitches) and PS4 graphics. It has a beautiful look, but playing it is another story. The camera is tilted at an awkward angle. For instance, trying to dash into a doorway can be very frustrating. This is because your player moves much quicker than you can control.*
Even though it is a more recent game, Ghost Recon Wildlands is less entertaining than Call of Duty when you compare the two. The drone is fun, but driving and flying are a pain. It feels rewarding to hit your target, but the aim is wack. Your team breaks formation and runs into harm’s way; the scope of your rifle is so wack you barely see the target, which appears to dodge or move out of the way of your shots.
The overall idea of this game is brilliant. The graphics are fantastic! For those not white, we appreciate the option to customize our player’s race or gender. It sucks when every superhero in every game is a white male, and every damsel is a blonde female. It is also fun to customize your weapons, gear, outfit, etc. Everything seems enjoyable until the not-so-impressive AI cheats on you.
I consider the glitches to be an outright malfunction. This game is something to kill time with, but the controls do not work correctly. Your gun jams constantly, and the AI malfunctions frequently, causing you to fail and redo missions. A free thinker would know they are either playing an incomplete or broken game or the developers were high on crack if they thought it was cool to put all those stupid logic into play. The storyline is brilliant, though. This game would have been outstanding if the controls had worked correctly.*
