The Kulture is still in its stages of metamorphosis.”

In this episode of Hiphop KruZade, we’re going to explore one of the creeds of this Kulture. I personally believe that “Creed” should be among the main elements of Hip Hop. Most times when you play a new rap song people say, “that’s not REAL Hip Hop.” That is especially the case for the younger emcees or rappers who do “Trap.” Much of their struggle is for “Ol’ school cats” or the Kulture to accept them. Most Hiphoppas are from the Golden Era. They often view this generation of New Skool rappers as singers who do not represent the Kulture correctly. Or they do not connect to the true essence.

I know it must be frustrating for them (this generation of Hiphoppas) since they have their message and experience to express in the art. As I’ve always said, Hip Hop is not yet at its peak. The Kulture is still in its stages of metamorphosis. New Skool Trap emcees are like every other generation of Hiphoppas. They have to show and prove. And then eventually the greats salute them like goats. OK. Let’s dive in. I’m sure most of you already know this but let’s just put it out there. Therefore we know we’ve covered that. Hiphop, the Kulture was developed from survival instincts and tactics used in the minority (black) community to outlast segregation, prejudice, discrimination, plus disenfranchisement.

Something light and cheap, yet delicious and filling, such as the two piece chicken and fries or Soul food.

Language: due to a lack of acceptance but Whites (the dominant race in America and North America) Blacks developed broken English. This is what we speak or text as street slang – Ebonics. Cuisine: As minorities, we leaned towards foods that could be eaten on the go. Something light and cheap, yet delicious and filling, such as the two-piece chicken and fries or Soul food. Religion: Many People from the community embrace the teachings of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. However, this is merely a point of origin. Economy: Neighborhood youths rely on talent, street hustle, and independent entrepreneurship as the primary gateway out of penury. *
