My book, “The Dark Road from Romarong,” breaks into the version of Blacks who remained in West Africa after The Transatlantic Slave Trade. It sheds light on the slave trade in the context of the tribes of West Africa who the process of colonialism had overtaken as the people, tribal objects, natural resources, and intellectual wealth that Europe and North America forcefully diverted to themselves.

It dramatizes the experience of Africans who lost their spouses, children, siblings, or parents to slavery and tells the story of the return of ex-slaves to West Africa.
