This article is not about my personal moral or religious beliefs. The piece is an educated and informed understanding of the so-called conspiracy theories surrounding the Illuminati and secret societies. Some critics will read this and take the wrong message because this is a critical topic today. That’s why I’m stating my religious belief so that, for the sake of argument, everyone would know where I stand: I believe in God Almighty. There is no way I can be worthy of God’s favor simply because of my sinful nature. So, I constantly pray for God’s forgiveness and mercy. I pray and worship Him. How can I learn to wait for blessings rather than pray for them? That’s one of my biggest challenges! I also depend on God for protection. I believe in evil at this stage, but Lucifer has existed since immemorial. Therefore, I have no desire to fight or defeat him in my short time on earth. This means I have learned to avoid spiritual battles. I exercise free will and focus on my goals. I prefer the simplicity of Catholic worship, but I embrace Baptists and Methodists.
I’m not a fan of Pentecostal denominations. My reason? I disagree with faith when the prayers are against another person’s free will. Or result in a change of circumstances in other people’s lives. I’m afraid I must disagree with unsolicited spiritual possessions, whether sacred or profane. I don’t see myself as a “spiritual warrior” without tangible outcomes. Since the main charge is that the Illuminati are an elite group of secret societies with a “secret agenda” to create a “new world order,” the first topic is the history of secret societies worldwide. Second, I suggest discussing religion and demonology because the Illuminati is often associated with occultism, witchcraft, and devil worship. When we analyze these subjects, we will begin to understand the stereotype about the Illuminati. Third, we should consider how modern technology spreads false information. I’ve found that many people go along with the rumors that have become popular. They attach their emotions to the data to discriminate against others with an opposite perspective. And they do that without caring about the documented and variable truth.
When it comes to secret societies, all countries have several kinds of them. Throughout the cause of history, all over the world, men and women have formed exclusive clubs that stand for a particular creed. This creed can come from religious doctrine, cultural belief, or a social agenda. In Africa, for example, there are indigenous societies in secrecy. In each of them, the members perform rituals as their mode of operation with confidentiality that protects their essence. This does not make them evil or ungodly nor holy or supernatural. They are fraternal organizations considered sacred for one reason or another.

The question becomes, where did the negative stereotype come from? Primarily, they come from non-adherents who don’t support the creed. In truth, there are no secret societies. Instead, several fraternities have ways to identify members or keep non-adherents from the association. In order words, Freemasonry, Skull and Crossbones, Bohemian Groove, and such organizations are western forms of a tribal fraternity. *
